Description
Plaited grass fibre back strap, with decorative coiled fixture at one end and bark fibre ties at the other. The strap consists of a thin, darker plaited fibre down the centre, with slightly larger plaits either side. Worn by a girl. The strap would usually feature other decorative ornaments such as medallions, buttons and shells so is presumably unfinished according to original cataloguing cards. [FHM29/07/2019]
