Description

Necklace made from twisted roots, bound with fibre. These are coloured red with lukula powder. Worn with armbands and waistbands of similar material. Worn by female initiates on their return from the period of liberty in the bush as a 'boy', during the Efendula ritual. Similar rings are also worn around the arms and the waist.
