Erasmus is a research assistant and film maker working on the Northern Namibian and Angolan material held in the Powell-Cotton Museum.
Erasmus lives in Ongwediva where he runs his own company, Tutwala Investment cc which is based in the Oshana mall and provides a variety of video, photographic and printing services. He has been involved in heritage issues for a long time, working with various organisations, and was instrumental in organising the research trip in 2019.
Additional funding, received from Arts Council UK, means that Erasmus will also be creating videos and photographic records of interviews with crafts people for display in the Powell-Cotton Museum. This work is currently on hold due to COVID 19 but we hope to resume it soon.
