Trip to Old Palapye

Old Palapye was the capital of Digkosi Khama III after he moved his people from Shoshong and before settling in Serowe. This site was chosen because of its proximity to a spring whch provided a constant supply of fresh water (see pictures). While there he built this large church. Willoughby was based in Old Palapye for most of his time in Botswana.
