Donated to Brighton Museum in 1918 by Arthur Foster Griffith, along with a large collections of 'Minerals, antiquities and ethnographical specimens'. He was a local Alderman, Solicitor, Naturalist, and Collector, and was involved in the Booth Museum committee.
This is the only item in the collection recorded as being from Bechuanaland.
