The photograph depicts a young girl, smiling with her arms crossed and her eyes shut. She wears a number of necklaces made of etched reeds, plaited raffia and cog wheels. Square black and white photograph taken on a Rolliflex camera by Diana Powell-Cotton while staying with Soba Kanguli near Mungu in present day Huila Province.
The necklaces shown are similar to those in the collection.
