Description

Carved doll in Okwanyama dress, made by the Tchokwe people. Wearing a front apron made from cloth and a back apron crafted from animal skin. Strings of green beads hang around the neck and waist. The object is carved in the Tchokwe style of bent knees, shoulders and arms. Grooves etched into head of the figure form hairstyle, and facial features with eggshell eyes set in wax.[FHM18/06/2019]
