This discussion between Alan Kunna (History Lecturer and Foundation Learning Manager) and Nicola Stylianou was part of a series of seminars organised by the Newvic (Newham Sixth for college) African Studies Centre. The centre aims to 'equip teachers with the skills and knowledge to teach students about the history of Africa, doing away with a tradition of learning about this diverse continent through the lens of European colonialism.'
