Description

Armlets made from plant fibre. Worn by female initiates during the Efendula ceremony on the night of their return from the period of liberty in the bush as a 'boy'. The Efendula ceremony by which young Kwaynama women celebrated the transition to marriageable age. Similar rings are also worn around the neck and the waist.
