Description

Doll [also known as okana] with wax head, shoulders, buttocks and abdomen. The body and legs have been made from a forked wooden stick. Wax hairstyle [also known as elende] with seeds representing decorative cowry shells. Onjeva disc eyes and mouth. Wearing a blue beaded necklace, a woven grass hoop with large opalescent bead tassels around the waist and rows of blue beaded hip belts. Skin back apron; cloth front.
According to previous cataloguing information, the doll has a personal name which has been recorded as Lasama.
